This margarita is everything you love about a classic margarita but with a frosty, restaurant-style twist.
¼-1/2cupsimple syrupAdjust to taste. If you like sweet drinks you may need more.
¼cuplime juiceI used fresh limes. The was 1 lime for me.
¼cuptriple sec
½-1cuptequila Adjust to suit your taste and how strong you like your cocktails.
4cups water or sparkling water
Instructions
In a measuring cup or small pitcher, combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, water, and simple syrup. Stir well to mix.
Pour the prepared margarita mixture into the Ninja Slushi Machine. Make sure the total liquid is between 8-16 oz and stays within the fill lines to avoid errors.
Press the Spiked Slush button and let the machine shave and churn the mixture into a smooth, icy margarita.
Dispense the frozen margarita slush into the glass. If the drink isn't potent enough for you, add ½-1 shot of tequila to your serving glass prior to dispensing. Stir it all and enjoy.
Notes
Adjust the ingredients to suit your taste. If you like sweet margaritas, use more simple syrup, sugar, or sweetener. (I use monkfruit.)How to Make Perfect Frozen Cocktails in the Ninja Slushi MachineIf a drink exceeds the maximum alcohol, temperature control lights will flash one at a time in ascending order starting with the bottom LED, preset LEDs will flash, and the unit will beep every minute for 15 minutes. If this happens you need to add more water or something like sparkling water.
Stick to 1-1.5 oz alcohol per serving – Any more and the drink won’t freeze properly.
Dilute with extra water, juice, or mixer – Helps create a smooth, thick slush.
Use pre-chilled ingredients – This helps the machine freeze the mix faster and prevents melting.
Avoid thick syrups or creamy ingredients – If using, mix well with water or juice to thin them out.
Don’t overfill the machine – Stick to the fill line (64oz) for best results.
