Preheat the indoor grill, Medium for 5 minutes at 450 degrees. The grill will take several minutes to preheat and will indicate when it is time to add food.
Season the salmon with spices. Rub the spices into the salmon.
Spray the grill grates with cooking oil.
Add the salmon skin-side up. Close the lid. Cook for 4 minutes.
Open the lid and flip the salmon. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until cooked through.

Every brand and model of grills may cook at varying speeds. Be sure to monitor your food closely to ensure appropriate cook time.
The color of the salmon will become lighter as it cooks. You can monitor the color of the sides to determine doneness. When the color of the side of the salmon has lightened about ¾ths of the way up, it's time to flip (when pan searing). When grilling, baking or air frying, at this point, you know the salmon only has a couple of minutes left to cook.
