Fall is right around the corner! I don't know about you but my lifestyle and body goals stick with me year round. It is essential that I have amazing recipes with a healthy spin all year long.
I LOVE Starbucks, but I am not fond of the amount of added sugar. I love to cook my favorite food and drinks at home because I can directly control the ingredients that are added.
One serving of this recipe has 3 net grams of carbs. A tall pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks has 30 grams of sugar. This recipe really slices the carb and sugar.
I tried this from Trader Joe's and I love it! It's so much easier than buying fresh ginger.[/caption]
In the past I used Stevia as a substitute for refined sugar in coffee. I have now switched to monkfruit sweetener.
See recipe note for how to make your own Keto Whipped Cream.
I really like that monkfruit sweetener measures like regular sugar. There is no converting like I had to do in the past with stevia!
Keto Low-Carb Pumpkin Spice Latte Tips:
- If you are really looking for a Starbucks latte, use Starbucks coffee.
- Instead of making your own pumpkin spice using the spices and pureed pumpkin noted, you can choose to use a teaspoon or two of pumpkin pie seasoning.
- Save time and energy by making the lattes in an Instant Pot. Click here for a similar recipe.
- You can use UNSWEETENED almond or coconut milk in the recipe. The macros are similar.

Keto Low-Carb Copycat Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte
Ingredients
- ¾ cup coconut milk You can also use almond milk if preferred
- 1 ½ -2 cups very strong brewed coffee
- 2 tablespoons pureed pumpkin
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons sweetener
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
Homemade Keto Whipped Cream
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon sweetener
Instructions
- Add the coconut milk, pureed pumpkin, sweetener, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger to a saucepan on medium heat.
- Stir to combine the ingredients. Allow the mixture to cook for 3-4 minutes or until it starts to bubble.
- Add the brewed coffee and heavy cream.
- Use an immersion hand blender (pictured above) to blend the latte together. BE CAREFUL! You don't want hot coffee to splatter and burn you.
- Blend, blend, blend. You want to ensure the pumpkin is smooth and the spices have diluted. Blend until the mixture is no longer grainy and resembles coffee.
- Serve in mugs. Add whipped cream, sprinkles of cinnamon or nutmeg, and a cinnamon stick to garnish.
Homemade Whipped Cream
- Add the whipping cream to a mixing bowl. Use a hand mixer and mix for 2 minutes. Add in the Swerve. Mix until whipped cream forms.

Bomb, bomb and BOMB! I’ve made this recipe three times this week! It’s amazing! I used fresh ginger twice and dried ginger once. Fresh is best! I’m also watching fat grams so I used fat free half and half and it was still the best thing ever! Whatever milk you use will make this delicious ? thanks Brandi!

You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!

Could I 8se hemp milk, instead of coconut milk? Can't wait to try this!
staysnatched says
I’ve never used hemp milk so I’m not sure. I assume so.

Have been making this every weekend since Starbucks came out with their pumpkin spice latte early this year (but theirs is waaaaay too sweet and sugary) - this one is amazing!
staysnatched says
That's what I like to hear!
Hunter says
I was wondering if I could pre-make this - cool it in the fridge and serve it over ice?
staysnatched says
Possibly. I’ve never tried it.

I’m obsessed with this recipe! I avoided Starbucks for years because of the insane amount of sugar that was in a PSL and now I no longer have to sacrifice and can enjoy this treat all season long! It’s easy to make, uses REAL pumpkin and it’s the warm spices that shine, not the sugar. I used almond milk as I like the little extra “nuttiness” it lends and used a couple teaspoons of prepared pumpkin spice. This latte is perfect!

Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
