This Chick-fil-A Frosted Lemonade Recipe is a refreshing frozen drink made by blending together lemonade and vanilla ice cream. It's similar to a slushie, shake, or frosty and has a smooth and creamy texture with a bright, tangy lemon flavor that is balanced out by the sweetness of the ice cream.

Vanilla Icedream, that's what Chick-fil-A calls their ice cream found in their frosted lemonade. The Icedream contains the following ingredients: milkfat and nonfat milk, sugar, contains less than 1% of: natural and artificial flavor, corn starch, mono and diglycerides, cellulose gum, guar gum, carrageenan, beta-carotene [for color])
The frosted lemonade also has water, lemon juice, sugar. If you order the diet version it has Splenda (dextrose, maltodextrin, sucralose), ingredients that have been linked to harmful side effects.
I created this recipe so that I could make my own drink at home and focus on adding natural ingredients.
Key Ingredients
- Fresh Lemons

- Vanilla Icecream

What Type of Ice Cream to Use
You'll want to look for a smooth and creamy ice cream with a good vanilla flavor. Avoid any ice cream that is too icy or has a lot of added flavors or mix-ins, as these can overpower the lemonade.

How to Make Chick-fil-A Frosted Lemonade
- You will need vanilla ice cream, freshly squeezed lemons, ice, and Confectioner's Sweetener or powdered sugar. Confectioner's is used instead of granular to prevent the taste of crystals/grains.
- Add the ingredients to the blender and blend for about 1 minute or until smooth.
- Serve.
Can You Freeze Leftovers?
I like to freeze the leftovers in mason jars. Defrost overnight in the fridge or on the counter. Keep in mind, the texture will be the most creamy when served immediately after blending.

This was great. I used my own homemade vanilla ice cream. I ran out of confectioners sweetener so used a few drops of liquid stevia.

My daughter has been begging for frosted lemonade from Chick-Fil-A but I will not be going during the pandemic. When I found this recipe, we were so excited! We made it today and it was exactly like the drink at the restaurant! So delicious and we are very happy we can make this anytime now. With less sugar and chemicals too!! Thank you so much for sharing!

I used a plain vanilla ice cream with this recipe so it wasn’t dairy free. I used a little less than 3 tablespoons of confectioner sweetener, and I adjusted the recipe to serve 4 (Which was super easy to do thanks to the print page through Stay Snatched!) it was SUPER easy to put together and came out so. so. good!! The lemon flavor isn’t overpowering and you can definitely taste the sweetness without it being “too sweet” the perfect combo of flavors. Oh as a note pay attention to how long you’re blending when you use dairy vanilla ice cream, I wasn’t paying attention and over blended it slightly so there was a little whipped flavor with mine—but I actually liked it so it was a happy accident! Next time I will give the Rebel ice cream a try instead. Thanks for a tasty treat on a hot summer night!

This frosted lemonade hit the spot. I love the tartness mixed with the sweetness from the vanilla ice cream. This will definitely have summer appearances. I love that it isn’t full of sugar since I used all keto ingredients.
