What is a Stroganoff
The dish is historically European/Russian and prepared with beef. Sauteed pieces of beef were served with a sour cream-based sauce over noodles or rice.
Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup
I like to make my Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup because the canned stuff is typically loaded with fat and excess sodium. Check your labels. I have often seen, modified food starch, which is a processed ingredient that helps thicken up the soup. They also often include vegetable oil, sugar, and flavoring. Flavoring basically means something has been added to alter the natural flavor.
Feel free to buy it in a can or use my recipe, whichever you prefer.
What Type of Chicken to Use
I like to use skinless chicken breasts. You can also use boneless chicken thighs or any type of chicken you prefer. The cook time will remain the same. If you use fully cooked rotisserie chicken you can make this dish on the stove. Combine all of the ingredients and cook until warm.

My husbandโs exact words: โthis is amazing!โ Super quick to throw together, and (as with every Stay Snatched recipe) reeeeally flavorful. Went with fat free cream cheese, and it didnโt seem to detract from the flavor or creaminess at all. I ate mine over a potato, and he ate his with pastaโreally good both ways!
