What is Maple Butter
It’s kind of like a spreadable maple syrup. It’s also similar to honey butter if you have ever enjoyed that! I like to prepare it whipped so that it’s thick, creamy, and easy to spread.
What Type of Syrup to Use
You want to use quality maple syrup in this recipe. Regular pancake syrup won’t do. I’m using the Maple Syrup from ChocZero because it’s sugar-free and results in a much healthier recipe. What I love most about this syrup is it’s THICK! It isn’t watery at all and it’s perfect for pairing with butter.
Look for something that says Pure Maple Syrup.
Room Temperature Butter
Your butter must be at room temperature. If not, you won’t achieve creamy results. You will see chunks of butter throughout the mixture.
If you’re in a jam you can get butter to room temperature using warm water. You can read more about How to Bring Butter to Room Temperature here.
How to Make Maple Butter
Scroll to the bottom of the post to the recipe card for detailed measurements and instructions.
- Add butter, cinnamon, and salt to a bowl.
- Beat until creamy.
What is the Butter Good On?
Just about everything! This is great for rolls, biscuits, pancakes, French toast, regular toast, sweet potatoes, and muffins.
How to Store it/How Long it Will Last
Butter will last in the fridge for 8 weeks. This also includes the amount of time it’s already been in the fridge. Take that into consideration. Store it tightly sealed.

Easy and the BEST tasting maple butter! Sorry TJ’s! Brandi mentioned in a response to my message to her that she makes her own and I quickly googled her recipe. I’m able to adjust the amount of maple syrup to my liking and control the sugar which I love! Thanks for another awesome recipe!
