What Type of Cranberries to Use Fresh or Frozen?
You can use either fresh or frozen cranberries in this recipe. If using frozen cranberries, thaw them first and drain any excess water.
How to Make Jalapeno Cranberry Dip
- Add cranberries, jalapeno (stem and seeds removed), lemon juice, sweetener, and Creole seasoning to a food processor.
- Pulse a few times to combine the ingredients.
- Add cream cheese to the bottom on an 8×8 baking dish or 9 inch pie plate.
- Top the cream cheese with the cranberry and jalapeno mixture. Spread it throughout.
- Chill.
What to Serve with the Dip
- Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread
- Sliced bread (French, sourdough, etc.)
- Cracker
- Chips
- Fresh Fruit
- Fresh Vegetables (Celery, Carrots, Broccoli, etc)
How to Store the Dip/How Long it Will Last in the Fridge
The dip will last in the fridge for about 3 days. If you are making it ahead, I recommend making it the night before.
Freezer Tips
Because this dip is made with dairy ingredients, if frozen it will have separation and become watery. A frozen cheese or cream dip would either be crumbly or watery when it is thawed. I would not freeze this dip. You can read more about How to Freeze Dips here.
